Welcome to Access-i

Aquarium de Liège

The Aquarium-Muséum Universitaire de Liège has become the centre of excellence for animal biodiversity and a key pillar of cultural tourism in Liège. It is recognised as a "Category A museum institution" by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and has been awarded the "4 Suns Tourist Attraction" label by the Wallonia Public Service.
With a team of about twenty people, offering numerous services to all its visitors, constantly developing and improving its temporary and permanent exhibitions, it welcomes an average of 95,000 visitors per year.

The museum is composed of numerous animal collections. The pools in the Biodiversity room of the Aquaorium are like "windows on the aquatic world": they offer you a glimpse of the astonishing diversity of life that develops there. During your visit, you will meet species from the North Sea, the Mediterranean, warm seas, rivers and lakes from temperate and tropical regions.

Major renovations have begun in the "Museum" section on the 2nd floor, and part of the exhibition is no longer accessible to the public.

Covid 19: Due to the sanitary regulations applicable to the museum, the cloakrooms and cafeteria are closed to the public. The use of seats/benches is prohibited.

A lift is being finalised to give easy access to the Trezoor.
