The Beffroi de Mons, emblematic of the town and the region, is much more than just a clock tower. It is a real architectural gem, a witness to history and a strong symbol of Mons' identity.

Be warned : you'll have to make a little diversions before going up to the Beffroi ! You need to buy your ticket at the UNESCO Heritage Centre, located in Rue des Clercs, about 260m from the main entrance to the Beffroi on foot.

The PBM entrance to the Beffroi is in Rue des Gades, about 100m from the UNESCO Heritage Centre. All the access routes have steep gradients.

To avoid unnecessary travel, it is advisable to obtain information before your visit.

For the visually impaired :

  • Group tours : The museum offers ‘Passeur de sens’ group tours, specially designed for the visually impaired, in partnership with Les Amis des Aveugles.
  • For self-guided tours : Visually impaired people wishing to visit the museum with their family or friends are invited to be accompanied. There may be obstacles in the way and special care is required.
