Welcome to Access-i

Centre du visiteur - Ville de Namur

The Visitor Centre is located in the former Terra Nova barracks at the Citadel in Namur.

The Centre is a museum on the history of life in Namur. Through plans, models, photos and testimonials, you can discover the military history and the life of Namur's merchants.

The reception staff will also guide you through the various activities available in Namur.

From the reception desk, you can book a guided tour on a small tourist train or a sound and light tour of the underground passages.

In both cases, assistance is available:

  • In the case of the train, ramps allow you to install a buggy in the vehicle;
  • In the case of the underground passages, a visit with a joëlette can be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

The reception area includes a small shop selling souvenirs and local produce, a small self-service restaurant serving local produce, and toilet facilities.

The tour is free (with or without audioguide). Audioguides are available in French, Dutch, English, German, Spanish and Chinese. A children's version is available in all the above languages.

The audioguide is included in the price of admission. Booking is recommended.

The tour lasts +/-1 hour according to the website.

Some members of staff are trained to welcome people with special needs.

Depending on the type of disability, adapted bookings may be required: joëlette, LDS tour, tour adapted for the cognitively or visually impaired, etc.

Don't hesitate to get in touch.
