Please note :
This certification only concerns the building and not future events that may take place in it.
During events, the layout of the premises may change, resulting in a change in accessibility. The responsibility for this change would then lie with the event organiser.
Furthermore, the certification visit only concerned the public part of the building and not the rented parts.

Description of the VENUE :

The large hall is taken over as the main function. The alley, the small hall and the cellar are secondary functions. 

  • During any activity, a member of staff is responsible for looking after any people with special needs

Strong points

Staff
  • A reference person is present to welcome and accompany the persons with special needs.
  • There is staff available to help negotiate obstacles.
  • There is staff available to direct and guide.
Parking
  • It is possible to drop a person off near the entrance.
Identification
  • The building is easy to find.

Points of attention

Safety
  • The signage is not adapted and does not make it possible to orient oneself easily.
  • The signage is insufficient for orientation.
  • It is difficult to distinguish the doors one from the other.
  • The path from the alley to the small hall has an S-shaped passage, without sufficient turning area (130x140cm)
  • Access to the cellar is via a lifting platform. Access-i does not guarantee its daily use
  • In the cellar, the area next to the stage is not wheelchair accessible. 
  • The PRM toilet room is 1.58x1.37m. It does not have a sufficient transfer area and the grab bars are poorly placed. 
  • In the Great Hall, when the bleachers are installed, wheelchair users find themselves in front of the first row or on the sides

  • There is an adapted toilet, but it is difficult to use.
  • The toilet is not properly equipped.
  • The space around the toilet seat is too small.
  • The sink is not easily accessible.
Theater/Cinema
  • The theatre does not have reserved spaces.
  • It is not possible to move to a seat located right beside a reserved space.
  • Parking is on the road. There are no spaces reserved specifically for the halls. 
  • Access to the cellar is via an 18-step staircase that is considered unsafe because it is steep. A lifting platform is available. 
  • In the cellar, the area adjacent to the stage is accessible by 3 unsecured and high steps (20cm and 22cm). 
  • Access to the mezzanine is via a staircase with 23 steps and a single handrail. 
  • The PRM toilet room is 1.58x1.37m. It does not have a sufficient transfer area and the grab rails are poorly placed.

  • The lower annex of the cellar is accessible by 3 unsecured steps.

Vertical circulation
  • There is no lift.
  • The staircases are not secured by warning tiles at their top.
  • The entrance to the hall is through an airlock with unsecured glass doors. 
  • The signage is not sufficiently contrasting and in large type. 
  • Although bleachers have been installed in the Great Hall, there is no lighting on the steps.
  • The staircase leading down from the alley to the cellar and the staircase leading to the cellar from the Great Hall are not safe (steep, poorly lit). The handrails on the stairs do not protrude. 
  • The lower annex of the cellar is accessible by 3 unsecured steps. 
  • The entire building is designed in grey tones, there is little contrast in all rooms, some elements (pilaster, stairs) are not secured. 
  • There is an unsecured step at the emergency exit of the Great Hall
