La Maison des Mariages
The Maison des Mariages is housed in an emblematic building in Namur, formerly known as the Musée de la Forêt. Originally known as the Palais Forestier, it was designed by Brussels architect Henri Van Massenhove (1860-1932). Its architecture illustrates the picturesque style in vogue at the end of the 19th century, typical of the holiday resorts frequented by the European bourgeoisie.
Situated on the heights of the city of Namur, the Maison des Mariages offers an idyllic, leafy setting for celebrating unions. The interior layout comprises two distinct main areas : the wedding hall, dedicated to celebrating unions, and the waiting room, designed to welcome guests before the ceremony. Outside, visitors can enjoy panoramic views over the city.
