Musée archéologique d'Arlon

Située sur l'ancien territoire de la cité des Trévires, la Ville d'Arlon (anciennement dénommée Orolaunum vicus) est localisée au confluent de deux chaussées romaines importantes (la Reims-Trèves et la Metz-Tongres) qui ont permis à l'agglomération antique de connaître une certaine prospérité durant les trois premiers siècles de notre ère. Les différentes campagnes de fouilles, menées sur l'ensemble du territoire de la province de Luxembourg, ont permis d'exhumer des vestiges qui témoignent d'une riche culture. Grâce à toutes ces découvertes, le musée archéologique d'Arlon possède une luxuriante et impressionnante collection lapidaire, composée de plusieurs dizaines de fragments de monuments funéraires antiques.
