Welcome to Access-i

Musée de la Médecine - Partie Venue (salle de location)

Located in the west of Brussels, a stone's throw from the ring road and next to vast car parks, the Musée de la Médecine is an exceptional opportunity to organise events in an original and unexpected setting. The Musée de la Médecine makes its various rooms available. Work spaces, conference rooms and reception rooms, all in a prestigious and unusual setting, to welcome and surprise your guests. Everything is ready to make your event a success! The organiser will leave an original impression on his guests.

The museum building has three rooms (the Nobel Room on the 2nd floor, the Main Room on the 1st floor and the Hemicycle on the -1 floor). All three rooms are located in the museum building on the Erasmus campus.
We invite you to read the specific information sheet giving details of the building's accessibility for each target audience.

Despite the efforts made to make the building accessible, there are still some points of concern.
There are disabled parking spaces in a pay car park, but it is far from the entrance and difficult to get to. What's more, the spaces are not up to standard (too narrow). There are also other spaces in front of the hospital entrance, but they are all occupied on a regular basis.
There is a step at the front door, which is filled by a removable ramp (16% slope over 30cm).
The bell for asking for help is 120cm high.
The lift is not fully accessible as it has a clearance of 75cm. It serves all the floors leading to the meeting rooms (Nobel Room on the 2nd floor, Main Room on the 1st floor and Hemicycle on -1 floor) (the lift does not serve two of the museum's rooms: Anatomical Waxes I and II).
Some doorways are less than 80 cm wide (some are 77.5 cm).
The "PRM" toilets are not properly equipped (no grab bar) and the doorway is 76cm wide without enough space to turn around.
