Musée des Instruments de Musique-MIM
Support :
The project to audit and certify 11 museums was made possible by the valuable support of :
Located in the heart of the Brussels metropolis, the MIM offers you 1200 instruments, each more interesting and telling than the last.
Visit the museum with a guide and discover it in more depth! The visits are designed as a dialogue, with a question and answer session and a discussion about music and instruments. The workshops have a "hands-on" musical moment in the Atelier. Prefer to go it alone? With the help of a multimedia guide, included in the entrance fee, this is also an option, in groups, with the family or on your own.
The mim pays special attention to people with mental, physical or social disabilities. Whatever the specificity of the group, the guide will do everything possible to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and respected in their differences. The musical instrument is at the centre of an enriching moment of exchange and encounter for all. Manipulations, "musical bath", musical games, listening, observation and dialogue... are on the menu, according to the possibilities of the participants.
A preliminary contact with the group leader is foreseen in order to adjust the course as well as possible.
Below you will find some instructions to ensure that your visit goes smoothly. We wish you a pleasant and musical visit!
