In general
Strong points
A pleasant trail on a towpath that is generally accessible, with a distance of 2 times 12.5 km, i.e. almost 25 km with a difference in altitude of 98 m.
The course is made of concrete or asphalt with an average width of 3m. The narrowest part of the course is 2.70 m wide.
There are several car parks that meet accessibility requirements.
The route is simple and pleasant. No special signposting is required, but it is signposted and has a GPS.
Points of attention
Please note that parking is in a pay zone and is limited to 4 hours.
The entrance to the RAVEL has slight obstacles that can nevertheless be crossed, such as a half-moon water drain and a jutting out kerb at the asphalt-dolomite junction.
Most of the rest areas are accessible via a passage through the grass.
Some short sections of the route are on shared roads. Overall, the low number of cars has no impact on cyclists' comfort or safety, except in Rue Longwez, where a 300 m section requires cyclists to cross the road twice, with poorer visibility.
