Welcome to Access-i

FAME Festival 2023

FAME is a performing arts festival that showcases the work of women and gender minorities. It is a space conceived in dialogue with feminist, queer and decolonial struggles. It takes place every September at a number of venues in Brussels. This year marks the 2nd edition of the festival.

Each year, the festival's programme features a mix of international and Belgian-based (French- and Dutch-speaking) artists, with no distinction made between young creative talents, emerging artists and established artists - in short, theatre-circus-dance-concerts-lectures-discussions-workshops-films!

As well as artists, FAME is also inviting grassroots associations, collectives and activists to share in the programme, to give voice to their work and create networks and resonances between artistic, political and committed proposals.

This year, the festival has embarked on an accessibility initiative, and for the first time, 3 of its venues (the théâtre des Riches-Claires, the Bellone and the théâtre de la Montagne Magique) have been assessed for accessibility. The colours in this sheet are based on those of the Théâtre des Riches-Claires, the heart of the event. We invite you to read the sheet carefully for the Bellone and the Montagne Magique theatre.
