Welcome to Access-i

Museum Night Fever 2023

For this new edition, Museum Night Fever is continuing its commitment to improving accessibility year on year.

In 2022, Access-i carried out an audit of the event and produced a report with recommendations. This year, the organisers are making progress in implementing the various recommendations: all the participating museums have been made aware of accessibility and disabilities, each museum has declared the facilities it has put in place to make its infrastructure more accessible, information on accessibility is included on the event's website, a team of volunteers specifically dedicated to "accessibility" has been set up and made aware of disabilities, and shuttles are available to get to the various museums.

With 33 participating museums offering different levels of accessibility and exceptional programming, the level of accessibility of the event is very complex to describe. The organisers are doing a great deal, but there is still a long way to go before the entire event is as accessible as possible.

Please note that the accessibility sheets are based on information provided by the museums. No Access-i approved auditor has checked the accessibility of the 33 museums taking part in the event on a case-by-case basis. The analysis of the accessibility of the activities was based on the descriptions provided by the museums.

We invite you to prepare your visit in advance, to make it as enjoyable as possible.

How do you prepare for your visit?

We invite you to read the Access-i information sheet carefully, with a shortlist of museums offering programmes and facilities best suited to your specific needs.

Would you like to find out more about the accessibility of a museum that is not listed in the Access-i information sheet?

On the event website (https://www.museumnightfever.be/fr/programme), you'll find the museum page with two types of information:

Accessibility icons, indicating whether or not assistance is required
Accessibility information sheets, drawn up especially for Museum Night Fever, describing the infrastructure and facilities in place at the museum.
You'll also find additional information about the activity on each event page.

Still have a question about the accessibility of a museum or activity?

You can get in touch with the museum contacts listed on the accessibility sheets or with the PRM manager Julie Desbois-Jones by email julie@brusselsmuseums.be or by telephone 02 889 00 32.

Were you unable to visit the museum you wanted on the day of the event or under optimum conditions?
Your MNF ticket gives all visitors the opportunity to visit a museum of their choice one month after the event.

  • The festival is not confined to the public space or to an enclosed area.
  • The festival takes place in an urban area with road traffic.
