Soirée inaugurale des Journées du Patrimoine 2024 : cocktail et spectacle - Access-i

Strong points

Programme:

• 6pm: cocktail reception in -1 at the back.
• 6.30pm - 8pm: Cocktail reception and speeches in the ‘Foyer du Lac’ room 
• 8.30pm - 10pm: Comedy show by Kody in the ‘Grande Salle’. 

Information: 

• Entrance for the cocktail party at the rear of the building (Lake side) 
• Entrance to the show from the front (main entrance - cinema side)

• Volunteers will be present at strategic points, clearly identifiable and wearing fluorescent yellow waistcoats.
• Organisers will be identifiable (wearing badges)
• 4 parking spaces have been reserved in the Aula Magna car park (open-air car park) for people with a parking card > If you park there, you will have to use an access ramp (and the public lift if you are going directly to the show)
• Underground public pay parking is available near the Aula Magna: Parking grand-place - Anneau Central-Sud, 1348 Louvain-la-Neuve - has 34 PRM spaces > If you park there, you can access the Aula Magna via a lift (passing in front of the cinema).

COCKTAIL :

SHOW :

• Entrance via the main entrance (cinema side)
• Assistance dogs are welcome
• The cloakroom is located in the basement (accessible via a staircase only) but volunteers will be on hand to serve you.
• In the entrance hall, you will need to use a platform lift to access the lifts: platform dimensions 102 cm x 150 cm. A volunteer will be on hand to order it. 
• There are two lifts into the auditorium.
• There is a PRM toilet close to the auditorium (with a transfer area on both sides).
• Spaces reserved for wheelchair users at the front of the auditorium: volunteers will help you find your place.

• The access ramp between the entrance hall and the Foyer du Lac is 109 cm wide and has no handrail. Volunteers will be on hand to help if necessary.
• There is a small step of 2cm at the entrance to the Foyer du Lac. Volunteers will be on hand to help if necessary.

SPECTACLE :

• Narrower passages between the lift and the main hall (80cm passage width): volunteers will be on hand to help if necessary.
• Small slope without handrail at the entrance to the main hall  
• The PRM toilet is 58cm from the floor

• There is a PRM toilet near the Foyer du Lac.

SHOW :

• Entrance via the main entrance (cinema side)
• A wheelchair will be available if necessary
• A few chairs will be available in the large reception hall before taking the lifts and moving into the auditorium.
• The cloakroom is in the basement (accessible only by stairs), but volunteers will be on hand to help you.
• In the entrance hall, if you are unable to climb the 9 steps equipped with a handrail, you can borrow a platform lift to access the lifts: dimensions of the platform 102 cm x 150 cm. A volunteer will be on hand to help you.
• There are two lifts into the auditorium.
• There is a PRM toilet near the auditorium. 
• Reserved seating at the front of the auditorium: volunteers will be on hand to help you find your place.
• Comfortable seats with armrests

• The outside walkway is not safe under the external metal fire escapes (located along the 2 side façades) > we therefore advise you to park in the Grand Place car park in order to arrive via the cinema and the main entrance. 
• The lift is not equipped with a voice synthesiser
• The stairs are not equipped with podotactile devices
• Please note: there is a step to access the Foyer du Lac's conventional toilets (not equipped with podotactile devices).

Strong points

• Visible volunteers in fluorescent yellow will be on hand at the entrance to the site to help you get around and find your place in the hall.
• Guide dogs are welcome, and water will be provided for them. 
• For the show, an image translation service will be provided by the ISEE foundation > headphones will be distributed at the entrance to the auditorium.
• The lift buttons are contrasting, in Braille and in relief. 
• The lighting is sufficient and continuous
• There is good contrast between the floor and the walls 
• The step at the entrance to the Foyer du Lac is contrasted
• The stair nosings, platforms, columns and tablecloths will contrast with their surroundings
• The light line on the ceiling of the main hall can be used as a guideline

Points of attention

• The stairs are not equipped with podotactile devices
• Please note: there is a step to access the Foyer du Lac's conventional toilets (not equipped with podotactile devices, but the nosing is contrasted).

• There will be no content in FALC (easy to read and understand). 
• The content of the speeches during the cocktail party will probably be less accessible for these audiences.
