Welcome to Access-i

Unisound 2023

"Unisound is the biggest French-language festival in Europe dedicated to people with disabilities. As a project for inclusion and awareness-raising, it is open to everyone, whether they have a disability or not. A place where people can meet, share and celebrate, Unisound gives everyone the chance to experience the atmosphere of a festival in an appropriate setting, and to change their outlook on difference. This year it takes place on 25-26-27 June 2023 at the PAMexpo in Court-Saint-Etienne. On the programme: concerts by Belgian artists, entertainment, workshops, cycle dance demonstrations, all in an accessible setting adapted to the needs of each and every one".

Strong points

As in previous years, the organisers of the UNISOUND festival are aiming for a high level of accessibility for every category of PRM.

In addition to the concerts, they will once again be offering activities adapted for everyone: face-painting, karaoke, silent parties, adapted bikes, photo booths, adapted swings, wooden games, bouncy castles, cyclodance demos, creative workshops and outdoor games.

Once again this year, the festival will take place over three days, from Sunday 25 June to Tuesday 27 June 2023.

We still invite you to visit the website: http://www.unisound.be as well as the event's facebook page.

Points of attention

  • This year, there will be no audio-descriptor to describe the atmosphere of the festival and the small, unusual events.

Strong points

  • Drop-off point in front of the entrance. This overhangs the entrance to the hall, but volunteers will be on hand to help you over the ramp, which is too steep.
  • There is a reserved car park close to the festival, and a level route via the Ravel path which runs alongside the PAM.
  • There will be no difficulty in getting around the site, where all the areas will be accessible and there won't be any great distances between the various activities.
  • Adapted activities between concerts.
  • The height of the ticket booths and tables will be adapted, with the exception of a few outside speakers' stands, but you will be able to count on the many volunteers present throughout the site.
  • A nursery area with medical staff (fridge and microwave available),
  • Adapted toilets with adapted sinks
  • Assistance dogs are accepted and there is a doggie bar.

Same adaptations as for wheelchair users. It should be noted that the different areas (concerts and activities) are close together and offer plenty of opportunities to stop off.
