Maison de la culture Namur - Le Delta

Le Delta – Provincial Cultural Centre

Bright and welcoming, with its wood panelling and numerous windows, its curves, varied shades and spaces, and the views it offers, Le Delta aims to be a pleasant place to spend time, open to all.

Its concept is based on the principle of the ‘third place’, where the public becomes an active participant, where one creates as much as one receives, where culture is experienced in a spontaneous, natural way, where it is a pleasure to meet, share and, through the interactions that the venue and its cultural activities will foster, to generate a shared sense of purpose. Le Delta thus offers spaces that encourage people to meet, foster creativity, and facilitate the exchange of ideas, knowledge, practices, resources and aspirations… Culture is experienced here in a natural and free-spirited way.

The interior layout promotes a friendly atmosphere and free movement. The lobby, the panoramic garden and the foyer of the main hall are open during the day to visitors who can practise their art, share it with others, and find a shared sense of purpose. A reading area offering local and national newspapers, as well as alternative press, is available in the foyer.
