Brussels helps tourism operators obtain accessibility certification free of charge !

visit.brussels supports tourism operators who wish to obtain Access-i certification, a benchmark label for accessibility. This support is offered by the Brussels-Capital Region in order to promote more inclusive tourism. Tourism establishments such as accommodation, venues, museums and attractions are eligible for this assistance.

Access-i certification

Access-i provides information to people with specific needs on the accessibility of public spaces (tourism and sports facilities, parks, gardens, cycle paths, events, etc.).

As an official partner of Tourisme Wallonie and AViQ, Access-i has already audited and certified more than 500 locations in Wallonia and Brussels, and collaborates with six external offices specialising in accessibility, which carry out on-site assessments.

The advantages of Access-i certification

– You guarantee your audience with specific needs reliable and verified information.

– You participate in an inclusion process that improves accessibility for all.

– You welcome PRM customers who have economic power.

– You benefit from structural support in maintaining the accessibility of your facility.

– You meet accessibility standards.

Once again this year, visit.brussels is covering the audit and certification costs for tourism operators who wish to obtain Access-i certification. Through our support, we want to help and raise awareness among tourism stakeholders who are improving the visitor experience through improved accessibility. With Access-i and visit.brussels, you are on the right track for more inclusive tourism !
