Circuit RAVeL de la Molignée
32 km outward journey.
Start : Place Communale, 5537 Anhée
Finish : Rue du Point d'Arrêt, 5070 Fosses-la-Ville
This walk takes you from the banks of the Meuse through Mettet, world-famous for its motorbike circuit, to Lac de Bambois. It joins the Bambois - Fosses-la-Ville route, previously audited by Access-i.
From Anhée, you follow the banks of the river Molignée past Haut le Wastia, witness to a major battle in May 1940. You leave behind the ruins of the Montaigle castle. You pass through Maredret, a village with many craftsmen. You'll make your way through pastures, copses and deep valleys, racing the draisines that run alongside the RAVeL.
To complete the 1st part of the stage, you will reach, at your own pace, the plateau on which stands proudly the town of Mettet, whose history dates back to Gallo-Roman times and where the painter Félicien Rops is buried.
Your walk then takes you through fields and groves towards the Bambois lake. You can continue the walk towards Fosses-La-Ville for around 3 km.
You can find the route roadbook here.
