Located on the edge of the Bon-Secours national forest, the Maison du Parc naturel des Plaines de l’Escaut Escale invites you to discover the forest : an ideal gateway to understanding the forest ecosystem while having fun. You can also purchase local products and obtain information on walks and other discoveries related to the area.
Visit Explor'forêt, an indoor space that houses a fun trail created in collaboration with artists.
A cinema invites you to discover the Plaines de l'Escaut Nature Park.
Outside, the Pic'Orée features a barefoot trail consisting of 20 bins filled with materials that will tickle your feet.
Finally, the Promenoir des cimes invites you to immerse yourself in the forest at foliage level (up to 16 metres high).
Nearby, you can complete your visit with the Natur’accessible circuit de Bon-Secours, which surrounds the Maison du Parc.
Practical information :
The disabled parking area closest to the entrance of the Maison du Parc is located on Rue des Sapins. The building is currently undergoing façade renovations, but accessibility is planned and guaranteed.
To reach the entrance of the Maison, follow the handrail for approximately 50 metres. The entrance is signposted. The door is automated but must be activated using the button on your right.
The ‘Explor'forêt’ interpretation area is located on the first floor of the Maison du Parc.
Please note : only the ‘Explor'forêt’ interpretation area is included in this analysis. The barefoot trail and the treetop walkway have not been assessed by our experts. We therefore invite you to contact the site managers to find out about the planned facilities.
