Stavelot Abbey

From the history of one of Belgium's oldest monastic foundations to that of the world's most beautiful circuit, via the artistic universe of one of the most influential figures of the 19th century, the poet Guillaume Apollinaire, come and discover Stavelot Abbey and its grounds, listed as part of Wallonia's exceptional heritage.

In addition to the current abbey, the archaeological remains of the 11th-century abbey church have recently been unearthed.

Three museums welcome visitors on site :

  • The Museum of the Principality of Stavelot-Malmedy ;

  • The Spa-Francorchamps Circuit Museum ;

  • The Guillaume Apollinaire Museum.

Stavelot Abbey also houses two exhibition spaces, the museum café and shop, and several reception rooms.
