BPS22 Musée d'art de la Province de Hainaut

The BPS22 Museum of Art of the Province of Hainaut is now one of the largest art museums in French-speaking Belgium. Its hybrid location in the heart of Charleroi consists of a raw industrial building and a white box perfectly adapted to museum standards. The BPS22 offers a programme of exhibitions and educational activities focusing on cultural and social phenomena. The museum exhibits contemporary artists, but also skilfully blends styles and eras thanks to the rich art collection of the Province of Hainaut.

Practical information :
  • The museum offers temporary exhibitions.

  • The audit focused on the museum building and not on the quality of the temporary exhibitions it offers.

  • There is currently no parking available, but this depends on the municipality.

  • There is a lift to avoid stairs.

Couvin

Saint Victor Church in Petigny

The Church of Saint Victor in Petigny (Couvin) was rebuilt between 1872 and 1874 in a neo-Romanesque style, based on plans by architect Ladislas Degreny. It consists of three naves and its bell tower was restored in 1939. The interior was redesigned in 1968 by architect René Michaux. Its organ, built around 1890 by Schyven, has recently undergone a participatory restoration.

Today, the church remains a lively place of worship and also hosts cultural activities.
