Whilst the Access-i certification covers the so-called "Lumeçon" event on 31 May (12.30 pm) on the Grand-Place and the "Petit Lumeçon" on 7 June, the Ducasse de Mons will take place from 27 May to 2 June 2026.
You can find the full programme via the link https://www.mons.be/fr/doudou/programme/programme-officiel/programme-2026/2026_04_24-programme-doudou-2026.pdf
You will find more specific information on accessibility on page 41.
The measures planned to make the Ducasse more inclusive are:
Reserved parking spaces (20) as close as possible to the Grand-Place, on Rue des Échelles;
A ‘Kiss & Ride’ zone (drop-off point) on Rue du Onze Novembre (entrance via Rue Tour Auberon);
For guests attending the reception in the Jardin du Mayeur, a dedicated entrance is provided via the entrance to the Musée du Doudou (Rue du Onze Novembre);
Toilets located on Rue Neuve between the car park and the Grand-Place;
A disabled viewing platform accessible from the theatre (side entrance on Rue Neuve). Please note: this is a paid area requiring a booking. Accessible toilets are available in the theatre.
City stewards trained to assist people with reduced mobility will be on hand.
Audio description of the battle, also during the Petit Lumeçon, will be provided by the ASA Foundation: please go to the foot of the PRM viewing platform where an area will be reserved.
