Musée de la Brasserie de Warneton

Since the Middle Ages, Comines has established itself as a major brewing centre. Its privileged geographical location on the banks of the Lys provided it with ideal resources : fresh water and hydraulic power. In the 19th century, the town had several thriving breweries, including the Brasserie La Poste, now converted into the Brewers' Museum.

Practical information :

  • Due to the presence of large vats and the layout of the premises, the museum cannot guarantee adequate safety for visually impaired visitors and those with comprehension difficulties. Furthermore, wheelchair access and manoeuvrability are not possible throughout the museum.

Saint Victor Church in Petigny

The Church of Saint Victor in Petigny (Couvin) was rebuilt between 1872 and 1874 in a neo-Romanesque style, based on plans by architect Ladislas Degreny. It consists of three naves and its bell tower was restored in 1939. The interior was redesigned in 1968 by architect René Michaux. Its organ, built around 1890 by Schyven, has recently undergone a participatory restoration.

Today, the church remains a lively place of worship and also hosts cultural activities.
