Musée Félicien Rops

The Félicien Rops Museum is located in a former mansion in the heart of old Namur, not far from the artist's birthplace and the Church of Saint-Loup, a Baroque building classified as a major heritage site in Wallonia.

The museum presents all aspects of the artist's work (1833-1898), the major stages of his life (Namur, Brussels, Paris), his encounters and his creations. A technical approach to the diversity of his talent is also offered: engraving, drawing and painting.

The museum is owned by the Province of Namur, which, since its creation in 1964, has continued to increase its heritage, with the help of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and private patrons.

In addition to presenting the collections, the museum offers various services (guided tours, temporary exhibitions and courses, audio guides, publications on the artist and his century, documentation centre). Follow the museum's news on Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/museerops
