Parc du Castel Saint-Pierre

The Castel Saint-Pierre municipal park is located about 500 metres from the town centre. It comprises 27 hectares of woods, ponds and footpaths. The Castel Park has just been inaugurated after extensive renovation work. The footpaths have been resurfaced, offering a relaxing space surrounded by nature, where it is very pleasant to take a stroll.

There is a walk around the ponds, a picnic area with barbecues available and accessible to all, deckchairs, and more.

Practical information :
  • A loop for people with reduced mobility has been created with little elevation change and covering a distance of 450 metres in the first part of the park. An information board helps you find your way around the site.

  • There is a car park at the entrance to the park where you can park safely.

  • Three types of flooring are used to ensure easy access for all.

  • A disabled toilet is available in the park near the entrance and car park.

  • You can cross the ponds via the various footbridges on the loop. A pontoon deck allows you to rest above the water. However, it is not secured by a guardrail.

Couvin

Saint Victor Church in Petigny

The Church of Saint Victor in Petigny (Couvin) was rebuilt between 1872 and 1874 in a neo-Romanesque style, based on plans by architect Ladislas Degreny. It consists of three naves and its bell tower was restored in 1939. The interior was redesigned in 1968 by architect René Michaux. Its organ, built around 1890 by Schyven, has recently undergone a participatory restoration.

Today, the church remains a lively place of worship and also hosts cultural activities.
