Ruines de l'Abbaye de Villers-la-Ville

Discover Villers Abbey, a former Cistercian abbey founded in 1146 and abandoned in 1796... Most of the site is now in ruins, but remarkably well preserved.

Nearly 900 years of history in a green setting in the heart of Walloon Brabant.

Owned by the Belgian State, the ruins are listed as exceptional heritage sites in the Walloon Region.

For more information about the Abbey Visitor Centre, please click here.

The full tour includes exhibition rooms in the Visitor Centre building, an outdoor trail with a timeline and information boards, a panoramic view of the entire site and, of course, the ruins.

Please note : the Abbey Bistro is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Saint Victor Church in Petigny

The Church of Saint Victor in Petigny (Couvin) was rebuilt between 1872 and 1874 in a neo-Romanesque style, based on plans by architect Ladislas Degreny. It consists of three naves and its bell tower was restored in 1939. The interior was redesigned in 1968 by architect René Michaux. Its organ, built around 1890 by Schyven, has recently undergone a participatory restoration.

Today, the church remains a lively place of worship and also hosts cultural activities.
