Ruines du Château Fort de Logne

Overlooking the Ourthe Valley, former stronghold of the Prince-Abbots of Stavelot and hideout of the fearsome ‘Boars of the Ardennes’, it was destroyed on 1 May 1521 by the troops of Emperor Charles V.

Major archaeological excavations and restoration work are still ongoing.

Saint Victor Church in Petigny

The Church of Saint Victor in Petigny (Couvin) was rebuilt between 1872 and 1874 in a neo-Romanesque style, based on plans by architect Ladislas Degreny. It consists of three naves and its bell tower was restored in 1939. The interior was redesigned in 1968 by architect René Michaux. Its organ, built around 1890 by Schyven, has recently undergone a participatory restoration.

Today, the church remains a lively place of worship and also hosts cultural activities.
