The Church of Saint Victor in Petigny (Couvin) was rebuilt between 1872 and 1874 in a neo-Romanesque style, based on plans by architect Ladislas Degreny. It consists of three naves and its bell tower was restored in 1939. The interior was redesigned in 1968 by architect René Michaux. Its organ, built around 1890 by Schyven, has recently undergone a participatory restoration.

Today, the church remains a lively place of worship and also hosts cultural activities.

In the heart of the Ardennes, surrounded by lush forests, picturesque villages and bucolic valleys, the ‘Rendeux & its villages’ circuit invites everyone to take the time to (re)discover the region by bike, in complete serenity. Designed to be accessible to as many people as possible, this 20.7 km route, mostly on tarmac, takes in peaceful sections of the RAVeL, the node network and a few quiet country lanes.

The accessible ‘Rendeux & its villages’ circuit is a rural route that starts at the Marcourt Tourist Office. This route passes through the villages of Marcourt, Ronzon, Rendeux, Hampteau & Werpin (in the municipality of Hotton) as well as Trinal, Magoster and Devantave.

The route also uses three very pleasant sections of the RAVeL, not far from the Ourthe :

• One at the exit of Marcourt ;

• One at the entrance to Ronzon towards Rendeux ;

• One at the exit of Rendeux towards Hampteau.

Practical information :

• This circuit runs partly on the RAVeL and partly on public roads. Given the very hilly topography of the region, this circuit is quite challenging and requires good physical condition and/or an electric bike.

• During your ride, you can enjoy some beautiful views of the region. You will be impressed by the statue of the Virgin Mary overlooking the village of Werpin (7 metres high and 11.30 metres with its base).

• The Tourist Office is also a good place to stop for a drink or a bowl of soup (small room available for groups).

The RAVeL between Martelange and Hompré (L618) is a major route for soft mobility, 37.6 km long there and back and completely flat, ideal for all ages.

The route starts at the Haute-Sûre Forêt d'Anlier Nature Park Centre/Martelange Tourist Office (Chemin du Moulin, 2), in the heart of a park with various leisure facilities. Electric bikes can also be hired there to explore the circuit.

The route then climbs up the Sûre and Strange valleys, through unspoilt natural countryside combining meadows, forests and typical villages : Radelange, Wisembach, Bodange, Strainchamps and Hollange.

Between Bodange and the Strange ponds, the route crosses the Haute-Sûre Natura 2000 site, reflecting the great ecological richness of the area.

Overall, it is a pleasant, safe and immersive circuit, offering a peaceful discovery of an exceptional landscape.

Le Monde d'Ayden is an inclusive indoor playground designed to allow all children, with or without disabilities, to have fun together in a suitable and caring environment.

This concept, unique in Belgium, was born from the story of Lou Garagnani, mother of Ayden, a little boy with a rare genetic disorder. Driven by the desire to offer her son, his siblings and all children a barrier-free play area, she imagined a place where difference becomes an asset and where the joy of play is accessible to everyone.

Le Monde d'Ayden is an indoor leisure space that is immersive, inclusive and educational.

Open to all children, whether they have a disability or not, this place aims to make play truly accessible to everyone and to make inclusion a reality in the field of leisure.

Born out of a personal and inspiring story, the project came to fruition thanks to a mother who, unable to find a space suited to the specific needs of her children, including Ayden, decided to create a world designed for them and for everyone.

The luxury Pullman Brussels Centre Midi (4 stars) hotel was designed by architect Jean-Philippe Nuel. It is located within the Brussels-Midi international railway station. The historic heart of Brussels is just a few minutes' walk away.

The Hal Gate is an ancient monument in the city of Brussels, Belgium. It was built in the 14th century and is one of the last remaining vestiges of the city's medieval fortifications.

The Museum of the Hal Gate is an ideal place to discover the history of Brussels and its fortifications. It also houses a collection of historical and artistic objects, such as weapons, armor, paintings, and sculptures.

Practical information :

• Ticket office and reception :

  - Tickets can be purchased at the reception desk or from a ticket machine.

• Restrooms :

  - Accessible restrooms are available in the basement. These restrooms do not comply with accessibility standards.

• Accessibility for people with reduced mobility (PRM) :

  - Access for wheelchair users is limited.

  - There is a step at the entrance to the building.

  - The elevator to access the different floors is circular and its axis is 120 cm, which may make it difficult to use for some wheelchair users.

• Adapted tours :

  - Tours adapted for the visually impaired are organized.

  - There are no tours adapted for other audiences.

The new swimming pool at the Blocry sports centre opened its doors to the public in September 2024 !

It has a 50x25-metre Olympic-size pool that can be adjusted, with a movable floor and pontoon that allow the pool to be divided in two and its depth to be adjusted.

The facilities have been designed to save energy and reduce the use of chlorine, but also to offer optimal accessibility for all !

Practical information :

• Hocaille bus stop approximately 100 metres away. Coach parking on Boulevard de Lauzelle.

• Near the entrance, the car park has two parking spaces reserved for disabled people, two family spaces and a drop-off area large enough for minibuses. There are four additional reserved spaces in the car park.

• Please note that the car park is often full and parking in the entire neighbourhood is limited to 2 hours with a parking disc.

• When you are in the car park, the entrance is on the left side of the building, under the canopy.

• The swimming pool is open every day except 25 December and 1 January. At certain times, the swimming pool operates in ‘relaxation’ mode with an inflatable course for children.

• The pool configuration is variable (25 metres or 50 metres) and you can check the number of lanes available for each time slot via this link.

• The staff have been trained to assist people with special needs. There is always someone on hand to help you in the changing room, locker and shower areas.

The Ath swimming pool has been renovated as part of the Walloon Region's ‘Swimming Pool Plan’ and reopened to the public in September 2022. Numerous improvements have been made : an additional swimming lane, reduced use of chlorine and, above all, improved accessibility !

Everything possible has been done to make the pool as accessible as possible for people with disabilities :

• Installation of a lift, larger changing rooms, a step-free footbath and a hoist for people with reduced mobility ;

• Improved lighting and contrast for people with hearing, visual and cognitive impairments.

The street has also been completely redesigned to facilitate pedestrian traffic, parking for people with disabilities and improve access to the swimming pool for all by removing the step at the entrance.

• Two parking spaces reserved for disabled people are available nearby on the street (5-metre-long parallel parking spaces).

• A €1 coin is required to use the lockers.

• There is no ticket office ; an automatic ticket machine has been installed in the entrance hall for purchasing admission tickets, by card only.

• The doors to the changing rooms open with a badge reader.

• A member of staff is on duty during the week. Opening hours are available on the website and displayed in the swimming pool lobby (currently from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Fridays until 2 p.m.). If you are visiting for the first time, wish to purchase a membership card, wish to pay in cash, or are concerned about having difficulty with the payment machine, please come during these hours when staff are available.

The fortified castle of Montaigle stands on a rocky spur in a romantic setting that will transport you back to the age of knights.

A visit to the ruins of this imposing fortified castle, once the residence of the 14th-century count, and to the archaeological museum, will give you a real window onto an extraordinarily rich medieval world.

After your visit, a path will lead you to discover the local flora and fauna, ideal for a picnic break in the heart of nature.
