Porte de Hal

The Hal Gate is an ancient monument in the city of Brussels, Belgium. It was built in the 14th century and is one of the last remaining vestiges of the city's medieval fortifications.

The Museum of the Hal Gate is an ideal place to discover the history of Brussels and its fortifications. It also houses a collection of historical and artistic objects, such as weapons, armor, paintings, and sculptures.

  • Ticket office and reception :

    - Tickets can be purchased at the reception desk or from a ticket machine.

  • Restrooms :

    - Accessible restrooms are available in the basement. These restrooms do not comply with accessibility standards.

  • Accessibility for people with reduced mobility (PRM) :

    - Access for wheelchair users is limited.

    - There is a step at the entrance to the building.

    - The elevator to access the different floors is circular and its axis is 120 cm, which may make it difficult to use for some wheelchair users.

  • Adapted tours :

    - Tours adapted for the visually impaired are organized.

    - There are no tours adapted for other audiences.

Les Fêtes de Wallonie 2025 à Mons : Balade « Mons Passé Présent »

Street theatre: "Mons Passé Présent", 5 theatre companies from Mons will present 5 unique creations based on an original theme: "50 years of Mons Passé Présent".

The starting point is in front of the Town Hall, taking spectators through the historic centre of the town.

On Friday 19 September, the show will move through the streets from 6.30pm to 9.30pm (last departure).

Saturday 20 September from 4pm to 7pm (last performance).

Sunday 21 September from 3pm to 7pm (last departure).

Duration of the walk: approximately 2 hours over +/- 1 km.
