Salon de l'Accessibilité

This fair is not open to the general public, but is intended for all employees of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (central administration, museums, libraries, cultural centres, etc.).

For the second edition, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation is organising an accessibility fair in conjunction with Etnic (the Wallonia-Brussels Federation's IT partner for progress).

This is an opportunity to raise awareness among its employees about disability and, in particular, digital accessibility through various role-playing exercises and keynote speeches.

The fair will give participants the opportunity to discover a range of tools for making documents and websites accessible and for organising accessible events.

Practical information :
  • In the analysis, only the atrium, cafeteria and rooms on the 6th floor were taken into account for the event.

  • We strongly recommend that you use public transport. Ribaucourt station is not accessible (no escalators or lifts). Yser station is accessible with assistance, but is further from the entrance. The route between the metro stations and the building entrance has not been assessed.

  • All visitors will be subject to a security check before entering the building.

  • The entrance to the building is via the main entrance.

  • Volunteers will be present at the entrance to the building to provide information and assistance throughout the event. They will be identifiable by their yellow jackets.

  • Free Wi-Fi is available on site.

  • Parking near the building may be difficult.

  • The temperature in the building varies greatly depending on the weather (very large doors are open at all times, and the atrium has a very large glass roof).

Saint Victor Church in Petigny

The Church of Saint Victor in Petigny (Couvin) was rebuilt between 1872 and 1874 in a neo-Romanesque style, based on plans by architect Ladislas Degreny. It consists of three naves and its bell tower was restored in 1939. The interior was redesigned in 1968 by architect René Michaux. Its organ, built around 1890 by Schyven, has recently undergone a participatory restoration.

Today, the church remains a lively place of worship and also hosts cultural activities.
