Access-i assesses the accessibility of cycle routes in Wallonia !

Wallonia boasts a beautiful and extensive network of cycle tourism routes. Since 2016, the Region has been gradually working to make these routes accessible to as many people as possible, so that everyone can enjoy the pleasures of cycling, whatever their abilities.

Thanks to specific facilities, people with disabilities, users of adapted bikes (handbikes, tandems, etc.), older people, families and cyclists looking for a comfortable and safe route can choose a route that meets their needs.

By combining high-quality surfaces, easy access, adapted services and routes protected from traffic, these cycle routes help to make cycle tourism more inclusive and enable everyone to explore the natural heritage independently.

Since 2016, Access-i has been commissioned by the Tourisme Wallonie to audit cycle routes. The aim is to inform cyclists with disabilities about the level of accessibility of the routes.
